This waltz was written for the wedding of the composer’s niece in October 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona. With the emphasis on the second beat, the “waltz” has the character of a Polonaise. While starting in the key of B♭ Major, the theme modulates briefly to C minor before being restated in the key of E♭ Major.

A trio portion with its driving rhythms is developed in the key of D♭ Major and an interlude in G♭ Major. The main melody returns in B♭ major ending in a final Coda.

The waltz was composed from 2 November 2011 through 9 July 2012 and is dedicated to Amanda Madeda and Peter Borg on the event of their wedding in 2012.
